Dear Redot client

SAPS have issued a directive from Genl. Mamotheti (Head FLASH), dated on the 07-05-2020, stipulating that all SAPS stations have to accept all applications for renewals under Level 4 of the Lock down.  Applications for new licences under the amnesty can also be submitted. (All Redot clients must make sure that they have collected all amnesty related documents/applications from our offices before  28 May 2020 and submit such applications not later then Friday 29 May 2020)

This mean that all renewal applications, new applications and amnesty applications can be handed in at the DFOs as per normal.

All SAPS stations was ordered by Genl. Mamotheti to continue with the normal procedures under the firearms amnesty which at this stage still ends on the 31st May 2020.

Keep in mind that not all police stations have access to Email and that some stations might not have received the directive yet. Our advice is to contact your local DFO and confirm with them that they have received the directive and that they are open to taken in firearm applications.

When you want to submit your firearm applications at your local DFO, you can take with a copy of the directive as proof that the DFO is under orders to accept your applications. A copy of the directive download received from the Registrar are attached with this notification.Lock down amnesty

Our advice to people who have lapsed firearm licences (White license card) and who have not yet participated in the amnesty to seriously think about it, before the 31st May 2020.
